Well we had a fun, and very busy week. MacRae went to the doctor on Monday, and almost all of the bleeding in his eye is gone, so he no longer has to wear his patch. We are so amazed at how fast he has healed. He was so excited when the doctor took off his patch, he just kept saying "Max eye all better." He has to still continue with drops in his eye once a day for two weeks, and go back to have it checked next Monday.

Wednesday night we went to the Bees game, with my sister and her family, our family, and my parents. After sitting in a catered suite, I never want to watch another game any other way. The girls stayed inside and watched American Idol, while the boys watched the game outside. MacRae couldn't get enough of the popcorn. It is already his favorite food, and they bring it by the bucket full. He didn't eat anything else all night. (He definitely is a Tripp.) During the game he kept saying over and over that he wanted a turn to play baseball, and that they needed to share. It is hard to explain to a 2 year old that he can't go down there and play. The best part of the game for him, was when Bumble, and the Jazz Bear came up to the suite. He was a little unsure of them, and did not want to touch them or be touched. But then Jazz bear gave him a little ball, and Bumble signed it and his cousins arms, so he was brave enough to take his picture with them.

Thursday we went to the Zoo with my sister Jen, Lily, Hendrix, and Hendrix's Preschool class for a field trip. This is the second time MacRae has been there. We took him when he turned one, but he was too little to remember. When we first walked in they have a ball that floats on water, that the kids can play with. This was the best part of the zoo for MacRae. He loves to play in water already, but add ball to it, and it makes it twice as good.

MacRae was fascinated with the animals. He loved to just watch them move around and eat. It is so humbling for me to watch him experience new things. Things that are so simple to us, that we have seen a hundred times, are so exciting to him. He helps me remember how beautiful things, and people really are. His favorite things about the zoo was the spinning ball, the Lion drinking fountain, and the warthogs.

He licked and touched every surface of both of these drinking fountains. It will help him have a good immune system right? The funny thing is that I remember these drinking fountains from my field trips as a child.

These warthogs were MacRae's favorite animal, because he thought they were Stoggie animals. He watched them for the longest time waiting for them to do something. One finally got up walked around, peed, and then plopped down on the ground. Now I can understand why they reminded him of Stoogie.

It is not easy to be a stay-at-home-mom, and it is a lot of work, but it is so worth it to be able to spend this precious time with him. I am so blessed that I am able to stay at home, and that I have a loving and supportive husband, that wants me to. There is nothing more rewarding then teaching your child, and seeing how much they learn from you. I truly love being a mom to such an amazing little guy.
