Only 2 More Days!!!

I feel like I have been living at the hospital lately.  I have been going twice a week for Non-Stress Tests, and once a week to see my Dr.  Our little girls are doing amazing and pass all their tests within the first 25 min of being on the monitors.  It has been fun to watch them grow and change each week.  I have been able to see hair on one of their little heads, lots of hiccups, and both of them trying to breathe on their own.  I have also been getting checked each week, to see if any progress has been happening in hopes of a vaginal birth.  Nothing seems to be going on down there.  My Dr has told me to increase my activity to try and move things along.  Easier said then done, when you are hauling an enormous stomach that measures 47 1/2 weeks one way and 60 the other, around with you.  It is funny that I could barely keep one baby in, and I can't get 2 out!!!  They are both now head down, so we will keep hoping for me to go into labor on my own.  If not I have a C-section scheduled for the 25th.  Either way is fine with me as long as they are safe.

It is so crazy to me that I am already done being pregnant, because I absolutely love it. This time around has been a lot more uncomfortable for sure, and sleep has not come easy.  I used to not be able to breathe when I would lay down, because they were so high, but now that they have moved down a little it feels like my ribs are going to break.  I guess it is just preparing me for no sleep when they come home.  I also never thought that peeing my pants would stop being embarrassing and happen a lot more than I would like to admit.

I had my final ultrasound on Monday, to measure their weight and growth.  They looked perfect, and are practicing breathing on their own, which is a very good sign that their lungs are developed.  The Dr's are very happy with their development, and said that they are good to come on Friday.  We can hardly wait to hold them in our arms, and be able to bring them home with us!!!

I am so excited for you!! I am so glad that things have gone so well, minus the peeing accidentally and not sleeping and not breathing and rib pain. :) I can't wait to meet your baby girls and spoil their very tired mommy.
