Christmas Eve
We had our traditional Christmas Eve and Grandma and Grandpa Tripp's house. It was so fun to have them back this year, and we realized how much we missed them last year. The night started with an amazing dinner compliment of my parents.
We then read the story of the Saviors birth. We used to do this but, have gotten away from it. I am really happy we decided to continue the tradition. We have really tried this year to teach MacRae the real meaning of Christmas.
All of my cute family.
MacRae and his Best Friend Daddy.
MacRae was sitting next to baby Abbie and wanted to help feed her. He is such a sweet little boy, and told us that he will feed his sisters, but he will need to use both hands! He is going to be such an amazing Big Brother.
Mommy and Her Baby Boy.
Sometime there are even grumpy faces on Christmas, but it is a cute one!
MacRae with all his presents. Grandma and Grandpa spoil us every year.
Another family tradition that we have is to get PJ's Christmas Eve. This year I decided that I would make ours. They turned out so cute, and I was very impressed with myself. Most of all MacRae loves his and has wanted to wear them every night since he got them. (25 weeks along, and getting bigger)
MacRae fell asleep on the drive home, but we woke him up so we could leave cookies and juice for Santa.
And we didn't forget the food for the Reindeer. He are my 2 boys spreading the food so the reindeer could find our house.
Christmas Day
Christmas this year was my favorite by far. MacRae was at the perfect age. He was so excited about everything big or small. He didn't wake up until 8am and, and came and got into our bed. Stu asked him if he remembered what day it was. He thought for a few seconds, and then got a big smile on his face, and yelled "It's Christmas". He then went into the family room to see if Santa came and put presents under our tree. He came back with the saddest face and said there weren't any present under there. We then told him to go look on the couches. He cam running back so excited that there were lots of presents and stockings out. We hurried and got dressed and went to see if the food we had left out was gone.
He couldn't believe that Santa and the Reindeer's ate the food and left him a note thanking him for the treats. I didn't get as many picutres as I would have liked to, but we got it all on video.
We then opened all of our presents, and he was so excited about everyone. He got everything that he wanted a guitar, CD player, Mater Car Wash and more. Here he is playing with his Mater Car Wash, he had to change out of his jersey so he wouldn't get it wet.
After we opened all of our presents we let him play with them for a few minutes, and then told him that Santa left him another present downstairs, because it was to big to bring upstairs. He was so excited and the look on his little face was priceless when he saw his Double Hoop.
He kept asking us how Santa got it down here. We told him that when Daddy was sleeping he hear something in the basement, so he snuck down and peeked around the corner, and saw 4 little elves with little tools putting it together. Daddy then snuck back upstairs so Santa wouldn't see him. He could not get over the fact that the elves had tiny tools, and were in his basement putting it together.
Grandma Heather and Papa Drew were the first to come over and play a game.
Then Grandma Sheri and Papa Steve, and the Marostica's came to join in on the fun!
MacRae took this picture of Stoggie, since he is his brother and part of them family.
Later that afternoon we went to the Flockhart's for dinner and more presents. We got even more spoiled over there, and could not have asked for better parents. I forgot to take my camera, ans am super bummed about that.
This Christmas was so amazing in so many ways. We got to be with almost all of our families. We got to teach MacRae the true meaning of Christmas, and I got to be pregnant again, to name a few. There is something so spiritual about being pregnant during the Christmas season. I have been lucky enough to have been pregnant both times during the holidays. With MacRae I was ecstatic, and just enjoying all the newness of being pregnant. This time I have been so grateful to be able to carry these 2 beautiful girls. I never thought I would ever be pregnant, let alone have 3 children. I can't wait to see what our next Christmas will be like!!!
