MacRae and I were lucky enough to be able to go stay at the cabin overnight with just Grandma and Papa Tripp. Stu and I thought the ladies would be to hard to handle a sleep over, so he volunteered to stay home with them. We got to do lots of fun things, especially building fires with Papa.
Papa and MacRae chopped some wood and found lots of little pieces to throw in.
We went for some hikes around the property, played on the playground, walked through the river and threw rocks in, and just hung out the four of us. I was too scared to sleep in the cabin alone with MacRae so we bunked in the motor home with Grandma and Papa. MacRae got up early and snuck into their bed and was telling them stories, and cuddling. Grandma made us lots of yummy food, and we played games and roasted marshmallows.
MacRae got to ride down the mountain with Papa in the front seat of the Motor home. I love watching these two together. It was a perfect end to the summer before school starts.
