Our precious little babies are 12 months old. I can't believe that it has been a year already. This day was truly bitter sweet. Sad that they have gotten so big so fast, but happy that we made it to a year. Our little Peyton is quite the explorer. She is fearless and loves to explore. The newest thing that she has found is the dog door. We have to make sure it is locked at all times, or she will crawl out of it to escape.
She has become a lot more content now that she can move wherever she wants to go. She can crawl so fast, and has started walking around furniture. She also got her first taste of sugar this month with a sucker. She loved it, and cried when it was all gone.
She is still an amazing sleeper and is still taking 2 naps a day. When she went in for her well check this month she weighed 22lbs 8oz and was 29 1/2 inches tall, putting her into the 70 percentile. Peyton also got her 2 front teeth and another bottom tooth. So hopefully she will have a little break from teeth for awhile. She has also become a little teaser to her sister. She likes to take all her toys, and try and lay on top of her. She also has been know to hit too, but thinks it is all a game and laughs the entire time.
Our little Teagan has developed quite the personality. She fake laughs when no one is paying attention to her, or claps and puts her hands on her head. She is still very mellow and quiet when we go out, but at home she talks all day and laughs at MacRae and her sister. She has also developed a feisty side, and has become a biter. The only person she has bit is Peyton, and it is usually after she has been bothered for long enough and then she gets mad and bites her. Poor Peyton thinks it is a game until she gets bit, and has been bit on the face, back and plenty of times on the fingers.
Teagan has become a fast little crawler too, and like to follow her sister to explore. Peyton will stand up and open drawers and throw things on the floor and then Tegan will play with them. Needless to say we have had to start shutting all the doors.
This month Teagan also got her front teeth and then the 2 next to them. She doesn't handle teeth as well as Peyton does and usually gets a fever and a diaper rash with them. Poor little baby! When we took Teagan in for her well check this month she weighed 18lbs 2oz and was 27 1/2 inches long, putting her into the 10 percentile. This month Teagan also started not waking up at 5 am any more. We are all so excited about that. This last year has been the hardest, but so rewarding to see all that they have accomplished. I can't imagine our lives with out them.
