Teagan had acted like she wasn't hungry for a day or so, and then the next day she woke up with a fever. It got up to 102 degree's, but was stabilizing with Mortin. I was then feeding her lunch and she just started throwing up all over. It was so heartbreaking to watch this, and her so scared since she didn't know what was wrong. I gave her a bath in the sink, and then cuddled her on the couch. She just laid around for the rest of the afternoon. That night her fever finally went down and she had a rash all over her chest and back. I had just thought she had a touch of the flu until I talked to my Nurse, and found out that she had Roseolla. It is just a viral rash that by the time you see the rash you are not contagious. Most kids get this, and once you have had it you don't get it again. MacRae had it around 18 months, so now we were worried about Peyton getting it.
She just want to cuddled her Daddy for the rest of the night, and when she woke up the next morning her fever was completely gone, and the rash went away a day later. I thought for sure Peyton would get it since they share the same spoon, bottle, binky, toys, etc. but she never ended up getting it. We have been so incredibly lucky and healthy since the babies have been born. We have had a few colds, but besides that this is the first real illness. We are just glad she got better so fast.
