THE PUMPKIN PATCH
To start off the week of Halloween we visited the pumpkin patch by our house. MacRae was so excited to ride in the wheel barrow. Luckily his Daddy is strong enough to push him around.
The night before we decided to go it snowed, so we were a little worried we wouldn't be able to make it. But it turned out to be a beautiful day, just a bit muddy.
MacRae searched all over the pumpkin patch to find the perfect pumpkin. We suggested several different ones, but he needed to find it all on his own. Once he found the one he was looking for he got so excited, and was yelling " I found my pumpkin", over and over. Too cute. He rode with them all the way to be weighed and purchased and then back to the car.
We took them home and carved them. When Stu cut the top off of his, he watched me stick my hand inside and pull some of the guts out. He was not impressed and totally grossed out. We did eventually talk him into putting his hand inside, but once he felt how slimy it was he was done. MacRae already had ideas for what they needed to look like, so while Daddy finished cleaning them all out we drew the pictures on them. Mommies had to be a silly one, Daddies a scary one, and MacRaes a funny one. Every night when it got dark MacRae had to make sure to turn them on, and the lights off, and watch them glow.
PRE-SCHOOL HALLOWEEN PARTY
We found this costume months ago, and MacRae has been wearing it at least once a day since. I cannot get over how cute this little guy is. He was so excited to go to to his first school Halloween party. He kept telling me that he was going to a spooky party, but he wouldn't get scared because Mrs Amber would be there.
Here is his cute little class. Poor Mrs Amber had foot surgery the day before, but didn't have the heart to cancel their party. What an amazing teacher, no wonder MacRae loves her so much!
GARDNER VILLAGE
We were so happy that Grandma and Papa made it back in time to do our annual trip to Gardner Village. We were also lucky enough this year to get Papa to come along with us.
My handsome little SWAT man posing in his costume.
Checking out the witches with Papa and Grandma.
We also met up with our cute cousins Lily and Hendrix, and Aunt Jen dressed up as Harry Potter.
These 2 little boys get along so well together, even though they are a little wild we try to get them together as much as possible. It was a beautiful warm day, so the boys wanted to take there costumes off, and just play.
TRIPP FAMILY PARTY
We had the Tripp family party at the Cluffs's again this year. They are so cute and set up a little place for everyone to get the pictures taken.
Me and Stu were lame, and didn't dress up this year. I figured that being pregnant with Twins, was a good enough costume.
Here is MacRae and his best friend, and cousin Tanner. Tanner is such a funny kid and borrowed MacRae's costume from last year, hopefully the poor kid will be able to have children in the future. MacRae can't get enough of his "Tanner Boy", and loves to do anything just like him.
These to cuties are responsible for all the fun get family parties that we have. We had dinner and doughnuts, went to a haunted house, and played Halloween Bingo for yummy prizes, followed by Carmel apples. We were stuffed by the end, but had such a fun time just being together.
HALLOWEEN NIGHT
Halloween night was spent at the Flockharts. We went there early to eat yummy chili, and spend time with Grandma and Papa.
Then our cute cousin Ella showed up, and we headed out to so some Trick-R-Treating in their neighborhood. These two were hilarious together, and love spending time with one another. They would just run from house to house yelling, and laughing, and were not even fazed by the cold, wet weather.
After we got back these two curled up in a chair and Ella was reading the Book Of Mormon to MacRae. We should have recorded them, because Ella was telling some funny stories.
We then came back to our house and went in our neighborhood for a little while. After a few houses MacRae was cold and had had enough, and had plenty of candy. We then ended the night at our house watching Diego, drinking Hot Chocolate, and handing out candy. This Halloween was the first one that MacRae actually understood what was going on. I had so much fun watching him experience trick-r-treating, and him being to polite and happy about people just giving him candy. I love this little boy so much, and can't wait to go with all 3 of our kids!!!
