This year we decided that instead of buying MacRae presents for his Birthday, that we would take him to Disneyland just the 3 of us. This is the first vacation that we have taken just the 3 of us. We are not complaining about the wonderful trips we have gone on, but it just isn't the same as spending time alone with my 2 favorite boys.
MacRae did amazing on the car ride down, that we decided to drive straight through. The minute we got to our hotel, him and Stu had to hit the hot tub.
The next morning we headed off to Disneyland. MacRae could not believe that he got to ride on "His School Bus", that had Jessie, Woody, and buzz on it.
We got to see a whole bunch of different characters. We bought MacRae an autograph book that he got all of them to sign, and took his picture with them.
Toon Town was his favorite. He loved going into all the different houses, and pushing all the buttons to see what would happen.
MacRae's favorite person that he met was Mickey Mouse. I wasn't even sure he knew who he was, but he waited in a huge line just to see him.We rode every ride that MacRae was tall enough to get on. His least favorite was Pirates of the Caribbean, but he loved the Buzz Lightyear ride, and the Jedi training.
The next day we went to the Anaheim Stadium to watch the Yankees play against the Angels.
The weather could not have been any more perfect, and we had great seats.
I don't know who was more excited, MacRae to go to Disneyland, or Stu to eat a hot dog with his son while watching the Yankees. I can't get over that face!!!
MacRae kept telling us that Derek Jeter was out there playing. He did so good and watched most of the game, as long as the snacks kept coming. What made the day even better was that the Yankees won 7 to 1!
On Sunday we went to California Adventure. This was MacRae's favorite park, by far. All of the rides were Pixar movies, which these are the movies he watches all of the time. His Favorite ride was Monsters Inc, and I think we rode it 5 times. The Famous Woody
Handy Manny
Sully
And last, but not least Mickey & Pluto
We went to the Bugs Life 3-D movie. We both though that MacRae would love it, but it was a little too scary for him.
But you couldn't find a cuter kid to sport those glasses. We hit all the rides, and loved the new Woody ride, even though the line was an hour wait. Thanks Dad for standing in line for us while we ate ice cream. We ended the day with the Pixar Parade, that was an awesome ending to a great day.
On Monday we took it easy, since we had already done so much. In the afternoon we headed down to Newport Beach.
It was about 10 degrees cooler there than at our hotel, but it didn't stop us from playing on the beach and running away from the waves.
It doesn't get any better than this!!!
We ended the vacation, by going to one of my favorite restaurant, Bubba Gumps.
Stu you are the greatest to put up with me, and all my crazy ideas. I love you so much! Thanks for working so hard, so we can take fun vacations! This was the best trip ever!!!
