Hawaii: Week 2

Week 2 was a little less active, since we had seen a lot the first week. We were really sad to see Grandma and Grandpa Flockhart & especially Stu go home. But we had fun with Grandma Sheri & Steve. We started the week off by going to the Sea Life Park. MacRae loved all the different fish in the big aquarium. We watched all the shows, and saw dolphins, penguins, seal lions and otters perform.

We even got to meet and touch a dolphin, (or golphin as MacRae calls it). MacRae was a little afraid of it since he was staring straight into his mouth full of teeth. I couldn't convince him to touch it, but he was all for Mommy holding his flippers.
MacRae's favorite part of the whole day was feeding the turtles broccoli and lettuce with Grandma Sheri. They were so cute and would just poke their little heads up to find food.
We spent a lot of time at the beach, with and without the grandparents. MacRae could not get enough of it. The first time he got in he took a big drink of the water and the spit it out. After that every time we would get he would say "Don't drink the water". His favorite thing to do was go out to were it was deep and I would hold him while the waves crashed into us. He would just laugh and tell me when the big ones were coming in to get us.

Digging With Gramps

My Favorite Picture

We stayed with my parents in there little apartment, so It was a little squishy. MacRae loved watching movies in Grandmas bed with her, and wrestling with Grandpa and throwing pillows at him.
MacRae was also Grandpas little helper when they would go fix stuff in the sisters apartments. He let him carry his own real hammer and hammer a nail into a palm tree in front of their house.
This is the view from my parents front yard. What could be better than looking straight at the temple? There was also a big grassy area next door, and the boys played golf and baseball there for hours. Grandpa was the only one that could pitch, or change his diapers for him, after Daddy left.
The day before we left we took a ride up to the North Shore and watched the surfers. We got ice cream and walked through all the little stores.

This was seriously the best trip ever. It was so nice to see my parents, spend time with my family, and just enjoy the sun. We are so blessed to have been able to go. After spending 2 whole weeks there it was really hard to leave, especially my parents. I miss my parents already, but I am so proud of them for their sacrifice and amazing example to me and my family. We love you so much, thanks for making all of this happen, we really needed it!!!
