To start out the week we got together with all of my brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews for a party Monday night. We had an amazing dinner at my brothers house which followed with decorating sugar cookies. We then got to talk to my parents on the web cam. It was so fun to see them, and watch the little kids interact with them.

Each family took a turn by themselves and got to open presents that my parents sent in front of them.
MacRae wasn't quite sure why they were on the computer, but he was excited to see them, and kept telling them funny stuff. We all got matching pajamas to wear for Christmas Eve. It was hard not to have my parents here, but so nice to be able to be with all of my family.

This year Stu took Christmas Eve of for the first time since we have been married, so we decided to do something fun. We went sledding that morning with all of the
Flockharts. It was a little cold, but so fun. At first
MacRae was a little scared to go down the hill, but then Stu took him over a little jump and he was hooked from then on.
Even Stoggie got to come!!!
That night we had the whole family over to our house. We had lots of yummy food, and hung out and played Rock Band, while waiting for Santa to come.
We tried to get
MacRae to bed at a decent hour, but he was too excited to see what Santa was going to bring him in the morning. My cute sister
Steph made him a little jar of reindeer food last year, but he was too little to understand what to do with it. This year him and daddy went and spread it on the lawn so the reindeer would be able to find our house, and have something to eat.
We then got cookies and juice out for Santa. We tried to convince him to leave it on the table for him, but he was very adamant about leaving it outside on the porch, so we did.

Christmas morning
MacRae woke up at 7:30 am. He had forgotten about Santa, until Stu reminded him, while he was changing his diaper. We then went and showed him that Santa had come and eaten all of his cookies and juice. He was so excited, and ran downstairs to see what
Sanat had left him.
MacRae got a pull string Woody, a chair, bowling, PJ's, Cars Buzz
Lightyear wings, and so much more. This year he finally got what was going on. WE just let him open his presents however he wanted, while we just watched. I was just sitting by him watching and he saw that I didn't have a present so he gave me one of his to open. He is such a sweet boy, and is always thinking about others.

I surprised Stu by buying him new golf clubs. He was so excited and couldn't believe that I actually bought them. I got the best present ever, but I forgot to get a pic with it. Stu bought me a rumba, which is a robotic vacuum. It is amazing it vacuums your whole house and then plugs itself back in to charge when it is done. I nearly cried when I realized that it will vacuum up dog hair, and have used it every day since Christmas. It is the best present for someone with a little
OCD. Every year Stu always gets me such thoughtful gifts, I am so lucky to have him as a husband.

Christmas evening we went to
Flockharts house for an amazing dinner and dessert. We got to open more presents there and were very spoiled by all that we got from Heather and Drew. We are so lucky to have 2 sets of parents, that are do generous.

We ended the night, by just hanging out and playing a little rock band. Me and Jill sang a duet and Me and Stu sang a little Sublime. So fun, that we are
defiantly going to buy it.

We had such an amazing Christmas and the month getting ready for it. Next year when MacRae is old enough to understand we want to focus Christmas more on Christ then on Santa. We are so blessed by having such wonderful families that love and support us so much. I don't know what we would do without them!!!

What an awesome Christmas! That is so great what your parents did even though they are so far away. Sounds like you guys had the best Holiday!
Glad Christmas was good. I, too, suffer from a little OCD dealing with vacuums. I own 4! Hope you LOVE your new vacuum!
