Build-A-Bear

After being snowed in the day before we decided to take a little field trip with Sophie and Sarah to Build A Bear. When we first got there and tried to have MacRae pick what animal he wanted to stuff, he just wanted the display one of a puppy. I tried to explain to him that they would fix it, but it took him a minute to understand. They put the puppy on a long metal stick, and then he stepped on the pedal for the stuffing to come out. His little face looked traumatized while he was watching this girl ram it into his puppy, and he did not like the loud noise either. He was then OK after he realized the puppy was fine and was now fluffy. He then went and gave his puppy a bath. MacRae thought this was the best part and gave him several baths while using a little brush to scrub him. He then had to show Sophie how to step on the pedal, and kept telling her that it wasn't scary.

I then let him choose an outfit for his puppy. I showed him that there was a baseball one, and that is what he picked of course. Then he picked little cleats, and a bat ball and mitt to go with it to complete the outfit. He then found a little tent dog house and collar and leash for him and named him Stoggie. He has slept with him ,and taken him every where we go since he got him.
Here they are showing off their new puppies!

We then took the kids to see Santa. For the last 2 years MacRae has been terrified by just the sight of him, but this year he finally conquered his fears. He walked right up to him and let Santa pick him up and put him on his lap. Sophie on the other hand did not like him, so MacRae kept trying to tell her that Santa was nice. It has got to be the age. We had such a fun day with them and can't wait to hang out with them again.
